For that reason, make sure that you’re washing your hands regularly so that you tackle these germs before they have the opportunity to transfer to another surface.

Get Plenty of Rest

The chances of getting sick are heightened when your immune system is compromised. Though it may not seem like the primary culprit of getting the flu, the amount of rest that you’re getting is definitely contributing to the likelihood of you getting sick. So, while this time of year can be incredibly busy, make sure that you’re prioritizing your sleep and giving your body all of the rest that it needs to maintain your health.

Tend to Your Child’s Germs Too

For many households, the exposure that children get while at school or after-school sports is often where the flu finds its in to the household. With that being said, you are definitely going to want to make sure that you’re tending to your child throughout this time of year. Go over hand washing, make sure that they’re getting plenty of veggies and water, and take some time to wipe down the items that they’re bringing to and from school. Though it’s difficult to eliminate the germs that come home from school, you can do your best to minimize the amount of germs that stick around.
